The thermotherapy It is the application of heat to the body for therapeutic purposes.
The therapeutic agent is heat, which spreads from the thermal agent to the organism, initially producing an increase in temperature, and as a consequence of this increase, therapeutic effects arise.
We are looking for a circulatory effect involving vasodilation of capillaries, increased blood flow, and activation of metabolism; a significant pain-relieving effect for certain types of pain and, primarily, a great muscle-relaxing effect ideal for preparation for kinesiotherapy techniques and, in particular, manual therapy.
It is therapy through cold, and it is a valuable ally in many pathologies that we treat on a daily basis. Its application will mainly be carried out by direct application of Cold Packs onto the patient's skin.
patient.
By applying cold, we aim to achieve a decrease in nerve conduction and primary vasoconstriction, followed by a reflex vasodilation that produces analgesic, anti-inflammatory, and muscle-relaxing effects.
Your application will be carried out mainly using cold packs or ice.
It understands the set of techniques that use electricity for healing or therapeutic purposes.
Through its use, depending on the type of currents employed, we will generally seek analgesic and muscle-relaxing effects, a vasodilatory, circulatory, thermal, and trophic effect, an anti-inflammatory, sclerolytic, or an electromotor effect.
To be able to work on all aspects, our clinic has ultrasound equipment, current-type devices T.E.N.S. and interference
We know as T.E.N.S. to low-frequency electrotherapy devices that use the technique of transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation for pain treatment. It is one of the most effective electrotherapy techniques for pain control using non-invasive means.
The therapeutic ultrasound It is a treatment modality that uses high-frequency sound waves, generally between 1 and 3 MHz, to generate thermal and non-thermal effects in tissues. These sound waves penetrate the skin and soft tissues, producing heat and vibrations.
Soft tissue absorbs these sound waves very well, so it works very well to soothe inflammation of tendons and muscles.
Its main objective is to calm inflammation, reduce pain, and accelerate recovery.
Magnetotherapy equipment forms an electromagnetic field between the two heads that produce various therapeutic effects. Among them, it increases cellular metabolism, and improves healing and ossification, making it the best therapy for bone fractures. It also generates vasodilation and contributes to an anti-inflammatory effect.
It is the set of therapeutic techniques or procedures whose purpose is the treatment of diseases through the use of movement in its various expressions.
The main physical agent of the therapy is movement, and the main effect is mechanical in nature.
Depending on how the movement is performed, we will differentiate:
– Active Kinesiotherapy, in which the movements are produced by active and voluntary muscle contraction of the patient himself.
– Passive KinesiotherapyIn which the movements obtained are due to "external causes", either by the action of the physiotherapist himself or with the help of specific devices, but in which there will never be voluntary muscle contraction of the patient.
Diathermy uses high-frequency currents to create an electromagnetic field, which generates deep and highly localized heat.
Among its wide range of effects, the most notable are its powerful regenerative effect, improved metabolism and circulation, significant pain reduction, and muscle relaxation.
It is a very pleasant therapy with a very long-lasting effect.
It's a new technique that combines non-invasive neuromodulation and diathermy. It uses a diathermy machine and a neuromodulation device called Medkey.
Diathermy is a therapeutic technique that uses high-frequency electrical currents, creating an electromagnetic field that generates deep heat within the body.
The Medkey is a state-of-the-art neurostimulation device that is highly effective in treating both chronic and acute pain. Through bioadaptive impulses, it measures bodily signals and adjusts them to achieve bioregulation. By balancing the autonomic nervous system, it strengthens the body's defenses, provides rapid pain relief, and improves function, among other benefits.
Therapeutic laser therapy is a physiotherapy treatment modality that uses low-intensity laser light. Its main function is to stimulate biological processes in the body to relieve pain, reduce inflammation, improve circulation, and promote cell regeneration.
Dry needling is an invasive physiotherapy technique that uses an acupuncture needle to treat trigger points in muscles. A trigger point is a point in the muscle that, when pressed, causes referred pain to another area. Repeated needling of this point induces a series of local spasms, which in turn causes deep relaxation of the muscle.
For some years now, it has been observed that top athletes appear in competitions with colorful tapes applied to their bodies; this is called kinesiology tape or neuromuscular taping. Currently, more and more people are using it due to its significant advantages.
ventajas.
It's a bandage that immobilizes the joint to stabilize it, allowing for the relative rest necessary for the recovery of damaged ligaments and preventing further injury.
The most common example is the bandage used after an ankle sprain. With this type of bandage, it's possible to continue with normal activities without the risk of causing further damage. Being able to walk keeps circulation active, which helps speed up recovery.
Acupuncture originated in China over 3,000 years ago; some documents place its origins between 2696 and 2598 BC. This ancient science, refined over millennia, is part of Traditional Chinese Medicine and involves the insertion and manipulation of fine needles at specific points on the body to improve the flow and balance of energy along meridians that run throughout the body. This healing medicine aims to restore the patient's health and well-being.
There are hundreds of acupuncture points along the 14 meridians, or pathways that carry energy throughout the body. Sixteenth-century Chinese physicians used the term “Qi” to describe the energy that flows through the meridians.
Acupuncture stimulates the body's ability to resist and overcome diseases by correcting imbalances; it also helps the body produce chemical elements that reduce or eliminate painful sensations.
Auriculotherapy is a therapeutic method based on the correspondence between specific points on the ear and the body.
This therapy has its origins in China, it is based on the theory that when an ailment or disease occurs anywhere in the body, reactive effects can occur in the ear.
When we stimulate these areas with needles, a beneficial effect is produced in the affected area.
Seeds can also be applied to the indicated points to apply pressure and thus prolong the effect. It is indicated for the same ailments as acupuncture, but is especially effective in treating anxiety, allergies, and addictions.
The Massage therapy It is a technique that can be defined as the collection and use of various massage techniques for therapeutic purposes, i.e. for the treatment of illnesses and injuries. This technique is integrated within the healthcare discipline of physiotherapy.
Massage therapy is useful for treating various injuries and illnesses, among which we highlight: muscular contractures, muscle tears, tendinopathy, radiculopathy, lymphedema, sprains, fractures, spasms, psychosomatic disorders, myofascial entrapments, reflex sympathetic dystrophy, sports injuries, etc.
